Welcome to Woolyfrog Arts
I paint with alcohol ink, watercolor, acrylic ink & paint or whatever else is within my reach! My art is a reflection of my love for those without a human voice but certainly with a soul.
Whimsically Realistic is how I describe my artwork. I love the intense color the inks give and the challenge of working with them has kept me intrigued for over 8 years now. But will always love my watercolor and acrylic!
My goal with my art is to connect people with nature and all who live in it.
About me…..I am a self taught, full time artist that has worked in a number of mediums. I live on 40 wonderful acres in northern WI with my husband Barry, 2 rescue dog, 3 rescue cats, 3 birds, a Russian tortoise, 5 chickens and fish! We moved here 13 years ago after I sold the Bed & Biscuit Boarding Kennel I owned and operated for 23 years. Before that, I worked as a Vet Tech for 9 years, trained my Golden Retrievers in obedience, rescued all kinds of animals, a foster/training home for RAGOM and a wildlife photographer. My life has always been about animals and art!
A few highlights!
I was honored to have Wisconsin Life, PBS, come up and do a clip of my alcohol ink paintings the spring of 2019. Here is the article and video of it, click on the link. https://www.wisconsinlife.org/story/cumberland-painter-learns-to-control-alcohol-ink/
I was so excited to be included in Cathy Taylor's 2nd edition of Pigments of Your Imagination. Are you wondering about trying out these inks? Here is the perfect book to get you started! Or sign up for a class!
