This is one of the largest paintings I have done! I love the sandhill cranes and very lucky to live in an area where they stage in the fall. Thousands of them gather in this area and then just before the weather turns, they fly south. Just one of the amazing things about them. I am also so lucky to have a pair that have nested on our property the last few years and I got to see 2 babies!
